Putin orders halt to Kyiv strikes during Trump envoys’ visit
The Russian president and supreme commander-in-chief, Vladimir Putin, has ordered that Kyiv not be struck for three days from midnight on Saturday, the Kremlin said, according to TASS.
“Le président russe et commandant en chef suprême (Vladimir) Poutine a donné l’ordre de ne pas frapper Kiev pendant trois jours à compter de minuit aujourd’hui“, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, cited by the TASS news agency, adding that the decision was linked “à la préparation et à la tenue de contacts” with the American delegation due in Kyiv.
On Saturday morning, President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced Russian strikes on Kyiv airports, saying they were an attempt to disrupt the first visit to the Ukrainian capital by the American envoys.
