The Franco-Belgian artist, who blends soul, R&B and country, looks back on a musical journey that began alone, in a cellar, before he gradually started to build a team around him.
For him, collaboration is not simply a matter of writing a song with others. It is first and foremost a human experience, a way of sharing his music and confronting his own universe with that of other people. That desire grew stronger when he began to put his team together.
Some of his songs were also born in entirely unexpected ways. That is particularly true of “Mama Should Know”, which was created almost by accident.
