Baptist Health Louisville Ranks Among Top Hospitals in Kentucky for Eighth Consecutive Year
LOUISVILLE — Baptist Health Louisville has once again solidified its reputation as one of the top hospitals in Kentucky, tying for the #3 spot in the 2024-25 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals listings. This marks the eighth consecutive year that Baptist Health has had a hospital ranked among the top five in the state.
The prestigious “Best” designation is awarded to hospitals that excel in factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care, and patient experience. Baptist Health Louisville was also recognized as the #1 hospital in Metro Louisville, a title it has held or tied for 11 times. Additionally, the hospital was listed as “Recognized in the Bluegrass Region” for its high-quality care.

In addition to Baptist Health Louisville, several other Baptist Health hospitals in Kentucky received high performing rankings in various adult procedures and conditions. Baptist Health Corbin was recognized for kidney failure and pneumonia, Baptist Health Floyd for heart failure and colon cancer surgery, Baptist Health Hardin for heart failure, Baptist Health Lexington for a range of specialties including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and leukemia/lymphoma/myeloma, and Baptist Health Paducah for COPD, heart attack, and heart failure.
Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News, emphasized the importance of the “High Performing” designation, stating, “This recognition highlights their expertise and commitment to patient well-being.” The U.S. News Procedures & Conditions methodology for the 2024-25 rankings incorporated new data on care provided to patients with Medicare Advantage insurance and outpatients, further enhancing the analysis.
