The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) continues to solidify its reputation as a top-tier institution for graduate programs, with multiple programs across its academic campus receiving high rankings in the 2025 U.S. News Best Graduate School Rankings.
UAB’s School of Nursing, Engineering, Business, and Medicine have all been recognized for their excellence in the latest rankings. The Master of Science in Nursing program in the School of Nursing has been ranked No. 10, marking the second time it has been in the top 10. Additionally, the Doctor of Nursing Practice program is ranked No. 11, the highest ranking it has achieved in recent years.
In the Collat School of Business, UAB’s Master of Business Administration program came in at No. 98, making it the highest-ranked program in Alabama. The School of Medicine also received recognition in specialty rankings, with several programs ranking in the top 50 in their respective fields.
The rankings, which are based on data submitted by schools, quality assessments from peers and professionals, and publicly available data, highlight the strength and diversity of UAB’s graduate programs. Provost Janet Woodruff-Borden expressed pride in UAB’s continued recognition as one of the nation’s best institutions for graduate education, attributing the success to the dedication of faculty and staff in developing top-tier programs.
