The Sugababes are set for another bitter feud as all members past and present want to tour using the name. The original line-up of Mutya Buena, Kiesha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy are set to hit the road in 2022. However, former members Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah are in talks to also go on tour using the band name Sugababes.
An industry source revealed, “Heidi and Amelle have been approached about doing a tour as alternative Sugababes, and their first call would be fellow ex-member Jade Ewen. The original trio is furious that the others want to try and use the name as they feel it’s theirs.”
Last month, the Sugababes were honored at the Mobo Awards, but Heidi’s mom Karen criticized the nomination video for whitewashing her daughter. Mutya fired back, stating, “When I wasn’t in the group and the girls were doing big things without me, do you think I was getting upset about not being mentioned?”
The tension between the members past and present is escalating, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see how this bitter feud unfolds. Stay tuned for more updates on the Sugababes saga.
