The tension between Russia and Ukraine has escalated once again as former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has been added to Russia’s wanted list. According to Russian state media reports, Tymoshenko is facing unspecified criminal charges, joining Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and former President Petro Poroshenko on the list.
The list also includes numerous officials and lawmakers from Ukraine and NATO countries, including Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, who has been a vocal advocate for increased military aid to Ukraine and stronger sanctions against Russia. Russian officials claim that Kallas is wanted due to Estonia’s efforts to remove Soviet-era monuments, which Moscow considers a form of rehabilitating Nazism.
The list also includes cabinet ministers from Estonia and Lithuania, as well as the International Criminal Court prosecutor who prepared a warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin on war crimes charges. Additionally, the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, has been charged with terrorist activities by Moscow.
The situation remains tense as Russia continues to target individuals it deems as threats, further straining relations with Ukraine and NATO countries. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
