Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been detained in Romania after a judge postponed a decision to extradite them to the UK. The brothers are facing allegations of sexual aggression dating back to 2012-2015.
The arrest warrant, which was issued in the UK, has left the brothers “dismayed and deeply troubled,” according to a representative. They deny all charges and are committed to challenging the accusations with determination.
This comes after four women filed civil action against Tate in London’s High Court for alleged physical and sexual abuse. The brothers are currently awaiting trial in Romania on charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming a criminal gang to exploit women.
Tate, known for his controversial views on social media, has claimed that the allegations against him are part of a larger political conspiracy. Despite being released from house arrest in August 2023, they were denied permission to travel to the UK in December to visit their mother, who had suffered a heart attack.
Tate, who gained fame as a kickboxing champion, has been banned from several social media platforms for his misogynistic views. He continues to maintain his innocence, with a recent post on his account stating, “The Matrix is afraid, but I only fear God.”
