THACO saves over VND70 billion annually through new production methods and technology

Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology recently hosted a grand celebration in Hanoi, marking the national Science and Technology Day, the Ministry’s 65th anniversary, and the prestigious 2024 Ta Quang Buu Awards. The event, held from May 15-16, brought together a distinguished audience, including the Prime Minister, government leaders, international organizations, research institutes, businesses, and scientists.

The theme of the ceremony, “Science, Technology, and Innovation – Elevating the Nation,” highlighted the significant contributions of these fields to Vietnam’s development over the past 65 years. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the remarkable achievements in research and innovation, emphasizing the importance of developing human resources in science and technology as a strategic priority for the country’s future growth.

THACO, a leading player in technology adoption and innovation, was recognized for its pivotal role in Vietnam’s economic and scientific progress. The company showcased a range of cutting-edge projects and technologies, including the development of premium sleeper buses, innovative truck components, and automation processes for enhanced production efficiency.

THACO’s President, Pham Van Tai, highlighted the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, with over 200 projects and 2,000 kaizen initiatives implemented annually. These efforts have resulted in significant cost savings and enhanced production efficiency, reinforcing THACO’s position as a technological and economic powerhouse.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, THACO is spearheading research projects focused on new product development, innovative materials, and advanced production technologies. This partnership aims to boost labor productivity, improve product quality, and drive Vietnam’s economic growth through technological advancements.

The event also featured 15 booths showcasing cutting-edge research across various sectors, with THACO INDUSTRIES standing out for its innovative TIAR-01 robot. This advanced robot offers voice communication, navigation capabilities, information retrieval, and serves as an advertising display and monitoring system, showcasing the company’s commitment to technological innovation.
