Staten Island High Schools Ranked in U.S. News and World Report 2024
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The U.S. News and World Report has released its highly anticipated ranking of the top high schools across the United States in 2024, including state, city, and local rankings. The rankings evaluate nearly 18,000 eligible public high schools at the national, state, and local levels, taking into account factors such as student performance on state tests, participation in college-level exams, and graduation rates.
Staten Island’s public high schools have made their mark in the rankings, with Staten Island Technical High School in New Dorp leading the pack. The school secured the top spot on the island, ranking 5th in the state and 50th nationally, boasting a perfect graduation rate of 100%.
Following closely behind is CSI High School for International Studies in New Springville, ranking 112th in the state and 1,126th nationally, with a graduation rate of 98%. New Dorp High School, Michael J. Petrides High School, Susan E. Wagner High School, Gaynor McCown Expeditionary Learning School, Tottenville High School, Curtis High School, Concord High School, Eagle Academy for Young Men of Staten Island, Port Richmond High School, and Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical High School also made the list.
