A gruesome discovery of a bully dog with its spine sawn in half has shocked residents in north London. The RSPCA has launched an investigation after the mutilated and beheaded body of the dog was found in Lordship Recreation Ground near Tottenham.
The dog was cut into several pieces and set on fire, with parts of its body burned along with the surrounding grass. Animal Rescue Officer Lee Ricketts described the scene as “distressing” and noted the extensive effort it would have taken to dismember and transport the body to the park.
The body was discovered near a children’s playpark, raising concerns about the safety of the area. The RSPCA is also looking into a separate beating incident involving a large tan bull breed dog that occurred in the same park a few days earlier.
Authorities are appealing for information from the public to help solve these disturbing cases. Anyone with information is urged to contact the RSPCA’s appeals line. The community is shocked and saddened by these cruel acts of violence against animals, and hopes that those responsible will be brought to justice.
