The peaceful village of Stanford Dingley in Berkshire has been rocked by a bitter feud between the Princess of Wales’s brother, James Middleton, and his “nightmare neighbour” David Alderton. The dispute has escalated to the point where malicious posters attacking the Middleton family have been plastered across the village, causing distress and anxiety to the family.
The conflict reportedly began over noise and light pollution generated by Middleton’s family farm, located just a few miles from Kate Middleton’s childhood home in Bucklebury. Alderton, who runs a motorcycle dealership and lives across from Middleton’s farm, allegedly trespassed on the property and engaged in a campaign of harassment against the family.
Middleton claims that Alderton has a history of disputes with neighbors and has made disingenuous complaints to the council about noise from the farm. Despite attempts at mediation, the alleged harassment continued, leading Middleton to involve the police to document Alderton’s behavior.
The situation further deteriorated when Alderton allegedly visited the Middleton house while the family was on holiday, shouting obscenities at their housesitter over noisy birds. The feud escalated with Alderton publicizing the dispute with malicious posters referencing the collapse of Carole Middleton’s business, Party Pieces.
Despite attempts to resolve the conflict, including police involvement and removal of the posters, the feud persists. Middleton expressed sadness over the situation but is hopeful that the police investigation will bring an end to the harassment. The once peaceful village of Stanford Dingley is now embroiled in a toxic dispute that has left both families distressed and anxious.
