Best graduate programs in Wisconsin, ranked by U.S. News & World Report

Top graduate schools in Wisconsin have once again made their mark on the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The 2024-’25 report, released in April, evaluated over 2,000 programs across the country in various fields including business, education, law, nursing, and more.

One standout in the report was the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Education, which tied for first place overall with Teacher’s College, Columbia University. This marks a significant improvement from last year, where they ranked third overall and second among public universities.

Marquette University also saw success in the rankings, with several of their graduate programs moving up the list. The master’s program in the College of Nursing, for example, climbed from 66 to 58.
