The University of Tennessee Knoxville parking: Walk or drive to campus?
Tennessee Volunteers are facing a tough parking situation this semester, with many students and faculty struggling to find a spot on campus. To investigate the best way to get to campus, we conducted an experiment to see if it’s faster to walk or drive and look for parking.
In other news, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville’s graduate programs and schools have received high rankings in the latest report from U.S. News and World Report. The “2024-2025 Best Graduate Schools” report, released on April 9, ranks graduate programs and schools across public and private universities nationally.
UT’s top graduate programs include supply chain and printmaking, both ranked fourth nationally. The university’s nuclear engineering program is ranked seventh, while the “Best Library and Information Studies Programs” are ranked 10th. The College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Social Work, Haslam College of Business, and College of Law also received high rankings in their respective fields.
Among public universities, UT’s Haslam College of Business ranked 22nd for full-time graduate school programs, with the supply chain program ranking third. The College of Social Work, College of Nursing, and College of Law also received high rankings among public universities.
Dean of the Graduate School Dixie Thompson expressed pride in the rankings, stating, “The rankings this year provide evidence that UT has exceptional graduate programs across a wide range of disciplines. These rankings are a reflection of the commitment to excellence made by our faculty, staff, and students.”
