In a recent study conducted by U.S. News & World Reports, over 17,000 schools were evaluated to determine the best public high schools across the country. Surprisingly, 126 schools from Maine made the list, showcasing the state’s commitment to education excellence.
The study looked at six different areas that a school must excel in to qualify, including College Readiness, State Assessment Proficiency, State Assessment Performance, Underserved Student Performance, College Curriculum Breadth, and Graduation Rate.
