U.S. News & World Report Ranks College of Nursing’s Doctoral Program 25th

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s College of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program has once again been recognized for its excellence, ranking No. 25 on the Best Graduate Schools list for 2024 by U.S. News & World Report. This prestigious ranking places the college in the top 7% of all DNP programs nationwide, highlighting its commitment to preparing the next generation of advanced practitioners.

Dean Wendy Likes, PhD, DNSc, APRN-BC, FAAN, FAANP, expressed pride in the college’s continued success, emphasizing the importance of well-prepared nurses in today’s healthcare landscape. The ranking was based on various indicators, including faculty credentials, student-faculty ratio, and research activity, showcasing the college’s dedication to academic excellence.

Other Tennessee colleges with DNP programs that made the list include Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The UT Health Science Center stands out as having the most highly-ranked DNP program among public universities in the state, offering a variety of concentrations to meet the diverse needs of students.

The college’s top 7% ranking reflects the excellence in teaching and practice that sets it apart in the field of nursing education.
