The All-Area Girls Basketball First Team has been announced, showcasing the top talent in the region. Rylie Cother, a junior from Jackson County Central, emerged as one of the top guards in the state with her impressive scoring abilities and all-around skills. She averaged an outstanding 30.7 points per game and led her team to a successful season.
Izzy Klumper, a senior from Westbrook-Walnut Grove, continued to shine on the court with her sharpshooting and record-breaking performances. She set a single-season school record with 102 3-pointers and leaves a lasting legacy at W-WG.
Sadie Krahling, a senior from Adrian/Ellsworth, had a standout final season, showcasing her skills as an all-around player and setting numerous school records. She leaves A/E with an impressive career and is committed to playing basketball at Dakota Wesleyan University.
Alyda Vande Griend, a senior from Edgerton, was a force to be reckoned with in the post, consistently leading her team in scoring and rebounds. She leaves a lasting impact on the Flying Dutchmen and finishes her career with impressive stats.
Ana Veldkamp, a senior from Southwest Minnesota Christian, had a memorable final season, surpassing the 1,000-point milestone and leading her team to a successful season. She will continue her athletic career at Dordt University.
