Police Hunt Suspect After Two Injured in Crossbow Attacks in London
Authorities in London are urgently searching for a suspect after two people were injured in separate crossbow attacks just days apart in the Shoreditch area.
The first attack occurred on March 4th, when a 44-year-old woman was struck in the head with a crossbow bolt while crossing the street on Club Row. Ten days later, a 20-year-old man was left with a neck injury from a crossbow bolt just 200 feet away on Arnold Circus.
The Metropolitan Police have linked the two incidents due to their nature and location, and are working to identify the suspect responsible. Fortunately, both victims have been treated for their injuries and have since been released from the hospital.
While there are no further reports of crossbow attacks at this time, authorities are urging residents in the area to remain vigilant. A heightened police presence will be visible in Shoreditch as detectives continue their investigation with the support of Tower Hamlets Council.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway reassured the community that efforts are being made to find the perpetrator, and encouraged anyone with information to come forward. Those with information can contact the police at 101 or remain anonymous by reaching out to Crimestoppers.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are committed to keeping the public informed as they work to ensure the safety of the community.
