Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a break from his busy schedule to immerse himself in the beauty of nature at Assam’s Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve. His inaugural visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site on Saturday included an exciting elephant and jeep safari, showcasing the rich wildlife and breathtaking landscapes of the park.
Accompanied by park director Sonali Ghosh and senior forest officials, PM Modi embarked on an elephant safari in the Mihimukh area of the Central Kohora Range, followed by a jeep safari within the same range. The Prime Minister’s visit to Kaziranga, known for its one-horned rhinoceros and diverse wildlife, was part of his two-day trip to the state, commencing on Friday evening.
In addition to his adventures in Kaziranga, PM Modi also made headlines for India’s upcoming free trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) nations, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. This agreement, set to be signed on Sunday, marks the third major trade deal under the Narendra Modi government in 2022.
The India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) aims to strengthen trade relations between the two parties, focusing on areas such as trade in goods and services, investment promotion, and sustainable development. The agreement is expected to address India’s trade deficit with EFTA nations, primarily driven by gold imports.
As PM Modi continues to prioritize India’s economic growth and conservation efforts, his visit to Kaziranga and the upcoming trade agreement with EFTA nations demonstrate his commitment to fostering positive relationships and promoting sustainable development initiatives. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting developments.
