Midsummer Place hosts Science and Technology week

Midsummer Place in Milton Keynes is set to launch a week of FREE engaging and educational events this May half-term, inviting families to dive into the world of science and technology.

From Monday, 27 May to Sunday, 2 June, Midsummer Place will be buzzing with a series of free activities aimed at sparking curiosity and creativity. The week will feature a range of exciting sessions and events, including Lava Workshops, a Space Dome experience, and a special visit from Bletchley Park.

One highlight of the week will be on Tuesday, 28 May, when visitors can test their problem-solving skills and try to crack the code with Bletchley Park’s famous enigma machine. This interactive experience promises to be fun for both children and adults alike.

On Thursday, 30 May, children can step into the world of mad science at the Lava Lamp Workshop, where they will have the chance to create their own mesmerizing lava lamps to take home.

And on Saturday, 1 June, visitors can embark on an immersive journey through outer space at the Space Dome, complete with a VR experience that will transport them to distant galaxies and beyond.

Simon Martin, Centre Manager at Midsummer Place, is excited about the upcoming Science and Technology Week, stating, “We are thrilled to offer families the opportunity to engage with science and technology in a fun and interactive way. From cracking codes to creating lava lamps and virtually exploring space, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.”
