Latest Local Train Updates for Western, Central, and Harbour Lines in Mumbai: Stay Informed about Mumbai Weather

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) was hit by heavy rains and gusty winds on Monday, causing chaos in the city’s transportation system. Vehicular traffic, local trains, and metro services were all affected, leading to delays and disruptions for commuters.

Local train services on Central, Harbour, and Western railway lines were running behind schedule by at least 15 to 20 minutes. Western Railway issued a statement informing commuters about the delays due to technical issues, while Central Railway cited sudden rains and gusty winds as the cause of the disruptions.

One frustrated commuter took to social media to complain about the lack of announcements and power outage on a train that was delayed for over an hour. The situation was further exacerbated by the sandstorm-like conditions that swept through parts of the city, creating a dystopian atmosphere.

Metro services were also impacted, with disruptions reported between Aarey and Andheri East metro stations and Ghatkopar and Versova. The Mumbai Metro attributed the disruptions to cloth getting entangled on the overhead equipment near Airport Road Metro station.

In addition to the transportation woes, traffic movement was slow at various locations in the city due to incidents like hoarding falls, tempo breakdowns, and accidents. The Mumbai Traffic Police issued updates on the affected areas and advised commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.

As the city grappled with the aftermath of the storm, reports of trees and hoardings falling added to the chaos. The Mumbai Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) forecasted maximum and minimum temperatures of around 35°C and 28°C respectively for the day.

Overall, the inclement weather and resulting disruptions served as a reminder of the challenges faced by Mumbai residents during the monsoon season. Commuters were urged to stay updated on the latest developments and exercise caution while navigating the city’s transportation network.
