Furious Katie Price brands Eurovision ‘like porn’ and says Bafta invited ‘riff raff’ to TV Awards in shock attack on BBC

First to receive her wrath was the television Awards ceremony that was held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank.

Recalling her own attendance years ago on her Katie Price Show podcast, she said: “By the way, I have been to the Baftas, I have been there and done it, because I do do TV and I have been on TV. So the Baftas is a big thing for us.

“I’m sorry to say but you can’t compare how the women dress, the English Baftas to the Americans. The Americans just do it so well.”

Stopping short of naming celebrities, she continued: “If I wore some of them outfits I would have got slated. I was really shocked at some of the people who were invited.

“It’s supposed to be prestige, high class, when I say high class I mean proper people in the industry, and you just get a lot of riff raff that go, sorry, the Baftas has gone down in my estimations now.

“And some of the people who were invited and stuff, it’s so political.”

Her sister Sophie agreed and added that some of the outfits lacked classed and said their mum Amy even turned the programme off.

Then they moved their attention to Eurovision and its saucy array of entrants.

Katie came very close to representing the UK in 2005, when she finished second to Popstars: The Rivals hopeful Javine Hylton in a public vote to decide our entrant.

“That show, for me, wasn’t even about the singing, it was about who could be out there more than the other,” complained Katie.

“I got distracted with the singing because of the costumes, the dancing. It was literally like porn some of it.”

Referring to the Finnish entry, Windows95man, Sophie added: “What about that guy onstage with his nuts out?”

Katie continued: “They were trying to distract it with clipboards, this and that. How’s that to do with Eurovision and singing? It’s not a genitals competition.”

Though she did speak out in support of the UK’s entry Olly Alexander.

Despite lots of promotion ahead of the Contest, his track Dizzy saw him finish in 18th place and received zero points through the public vote.

Despite this, Olly took the result on the chin and wrote on Instagram: “Honestly I don’t know where to even begin with this whole experience, I’m going to be processing things for a long time! For now I just want to say I am so proud of the performance and my team, everybody absolutely smashed it and gave it their all to bring the vision to life!!

“I met so many talented wonderful people on and off the stage and i’m really thankful we were able to support each other throughout. Though we may have received NIL Points from the voting public – which I shall be claiming as iconic! – I’ve also seen a lot of love and i’m truly grateful, thank you.”
