However, Sophie left Jamie dumbstruck by the revelation she had now officially taken his last name and become Mrs Laing on paper.
On the podcast, Sophie presented Jamie with an envelope, leading him to think she’d bought him tickets somewhere.
After a small argument with him guessing what it was, it turns out to be a poem written by Sophie bearing a special surprise.
Tearing up, Sophie recites the poem reflecting on their special relationship, with hilarious lines like “You rub your ads to check they’re there five times a day, and you’ll bum ‘scratch and sniff’ will just never be okay.”
The sentimental message, written on paper in keeping with the traditional gift for a first anniversary, she continued: “How lucky are we that we get to do life together?
“You fill in all my gaps and I fill in all yours too you see, I’m just completely myself, you love me for me.”
She ended the poem by saying: “Happy Anniversary from me. Mrs. Sophie Laing. Yes, that’s right. I have officially changed my name.”
Jamie broke down in tears at the emotional present, saying he had never expected her to make that big leap.
“Honey, can you just say that again? Because that’s really quite a lot!” he asks her, prompting her to respond: “No it’s not, we’re married!”
“Have you actually changed your name? What the hell? I never… I didn’t expect you to do it, or want to do it or have to do it or anything,” he said while holding back tears.

“That is the coolest thing ever! I’m really taken aback! That is amazing. That is so great. I love you so much.”
He then reached over and hugged his wife as they took in the giant moment together.
The special moment comes shortly after it was revealed Jamie had a secret fling behind Sophie’s back five years ago, long before they even got engaged.
The other woman, Rosi Walden is now in the spotlight as part of the new cast of Selling Sunset UK spin-off, Buying London.
She previously made a fleeting appearance on Made in Chelsea around the time of the incident.
Despite the indiscretion the pair managed to work it out, holding two ceremonies for their wedding – one in London before heading to Spain.
Jamie and Sophie well and truly sealed their commitment to each other with a second fun-filled wedding, which was a giant pool party.
In true reality TV style, the pair documented their amazing nuptials on social media, treating fans to an insight into their second special day.
In one video shared on Sophie’s Instagram, fans saw the pair cutting their six-tier wedding cake.
Sophie was dressed in a floor-length white gown teamed with a matching veil, decorating her tied back hairstyle as they jointly held the knife to cut through the first tier.
