The 11th DAE-BRNS Biennial Symposium on “Emerging Trends in Separation Science and Technology” (SESTEC-2024) kicked off with a bang at the Worli campus of HSNC University, Mumbai on 10th July 2024. The prestigious four-day event saw the presence of distinguished personalities including Prof. M.M. Sharma, Padma Vibhushan, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Dr. Hemlata K. Bagla, Dr. PK Mohapatra, Prof. UK Mudali, and other eminent figures in the field.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Bagla emphasized the importance of exploring applications for water, energy, food, and climate in the realm of separation science. She raised thought-provoking questions about the legacy we are leaving for future generations in terms of pollution and sustainability.
