Former Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, who served in the previous government, has been given a place in the Modi 3.0 Cabinet. Alongside him, Pralhad Joshi, the former Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, and Virendra Kumar also took the oath as cabinet ministers.
Notable leaders like Dharmendra Pradhan, Piyush Goyal, Nitin Gadkari, and former Haryana CM ML Khattar were also sworn in as ministers in the new government. BJP’s ally in Bihar, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan were among the leaders who took the oath.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
As many as 72 ministers were expected to take the oath, with 30 cabinet ministers, 5 Minister of State (MoS), and 11 leaders of NDA allies. The portfolios of the cabinet ministers are yet to be announced.
However, some key faces were notably missing from the ceremony, including Smriti Irani and Anurag Thakur, who were dropped from the list of cabinet ministers.
